Green Newton is a Partnership of local individuals and organisations (Green Futures, Newton Abbot CIC and Newton Abbot Seed Library) all of whom have a keen interest in environmental issues in Newton Abbot. Our initiative integrates economic growth with environmental stewardship. The key components of how
we understand our Green Economy include:
Living Landscapes:
● Projects to enhance biodiversity, restore habitats, create wildlife corridors, and encourage tree
planting.
● Seed Saving: Promoting local seed preservation to adapt crops to our unique climate and soils.
● Eco-Tourism: Highlighting Newton Abbot’s green spaces and recreational opportunities along
with events for education and learning.
Health and Well-Being
